POSITION OVERVIEW
Kinsley Properties is seeking a Facility Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum experience level of 3-5 years and the ability to demonstrate proficient use of computer design programs such as AutoCAD, and other related software programs. Experience in large commercial design projects is desired.
rESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPERIENCE
Responsibilities:
– Assist in the completion of commercial design work, including complete layout and design of exterior building, wall sections, and conceptual layouts for interior space planning.
– Independently complete the work and identify all issues which require attention. – Collaborate with and report to the senior designer and the VP of Property Management for various projects.
– Proficiently utilize software tools such as AutoCAD – Architectural ( current version) , Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office suite products.
– Utilize the International Building Code ( IBC), International Existing Building Code (IEBC) and the ANSI 117 Building Code ( inclusive of current adopted and supplemental codes)
– Complete and submit building permit applications on behalf of Kinsley Properties
– Research construction products, participate in project meetings and provide creative input.
Experience:
The following skills are required for the Facility Designer role:
– Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Revit and MS products.
– Familiarity with Bluebeam software is desired.
– Ability to demonstrate use of facility design principles and building code compliance.
– Knowledge of local municipal government processes beneficial; Experience a plus.
