The Senior Financial Analyst provides the capabilities to analyze current and future investments in real estate projects. Develops financial models and projections, provides benchmarking data and analysis, and assists the Controller in Due Diligence with trend analysis to predict future cost projections and potential savings. Assess economic climate to provide key senior leaders with relevant information to assess current and future portfolio performance.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develop financial models to prepare projections and pro forma to reflect the projected costs, financing, net income, and cash flow results of proposed projects and investment opportunities
  • Work with Director of Leasing in analyzing lease opportunities
  • Completes forecasting and reporting per deadlines
  • Research the background of new venture partners and provide recommendations to senior leadership
  • Analyze historical returns generated by existing Kinsley Properties and projects; prepare meaningful matrices of findings and present recommendations to management
  • Explore investment opportunities, conduct SWOT assessment, and present recommendations to senior management
  • Follow established financial policy; recommend changes to the Controller as appropriate for consideration
  • Assess current portfolio performance with a focus on identifying opportunities to improve financial performance
  • Work with key staff on tax-related matters that impact real estate

Education & Skills:

7-10 years in various financial management/leadership roles, preferably in property management, real estate, or banking. BS degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting. Experienced with subject matter expertise in financial modeling and analysis. Demonstrated agility, ability to meet deadlines, and relentless drive to complete timely analysis. Knowledge of federal income taxes impacting real estate is important. Real estate management and investment experience are beneficial. Private equity experience preferred.
